Summerwood is a 1,500-acre Master-Planned Community located at Beltway 8 and W. Lake Houston Parkway. Summerwood community has more than 200 acres devoted to recreation and nature preserves. The community has a wide variety of single family homes set within a serenely wooded area full of nature preserves and parks.

Summerwood is part of the Humble Independent School District. Summerwood students attend Summerwood Elementary, Lakeshore Elementary and the newly opened Summer Creek High School. Woodcreek Middle School is planned to open in August 2010.

Summerwood features three recreation centers offering swimming, fitness centers, a volleyball court and tennis courts. Spread throughout the community are parks, playgrounds and picnic areas. A resident favorite is Lakeview Park with its panoramic views of Lake Houston, a nautical children’s playground, gazebo, viewing dock, and trails for exploring. Community neighborhoods are connected through a series of paved and nature trails. Summerwood is also home to 150-acre nature preserve and 17 acres of lakes.
