Chamber To Premiere New Logo On December 11

The Humble Area Chamber will take a huge step towards completing the transitioning process to their new name, “Lake Houston Area Chamber” by premiering the new chamber logo to the membership and community on December 11.

The Chamber plans to debut their new logo to their members and the community at an Open House from 11 am until 1 pm on December 11 at the Chamber Office. Many local restaurants are donating food for the celebration which promises to be full of surprises.

The new logo was recently chosen by the Chamber’s Long Range Planning Task Force and is being kept under tight wrap until the big premiere in December. The Task Force is keeping the logo a secret, planning to surprise even the Board of Directors and Chamber Staff at the big reveal.

The process to find a new logo began in September when a request was made to the graphic design members of the Chamber to submit logos for consideration. More than 20 logos were submitted to the Task Force who then, under the direction of Nancy Shortsleeve, presented the choices to various focus groups both inside and outside the community. After studying the feedback, the Task Force recently arrived at a decision and is preparing to present it at the Open House.

According to Chamber Vice President, Jenna Armstrong, following the Open House, the new logo will be implemented in Chamber promotions. She said the Chamber plans to have completed the transition to the new name and logo by January 1st.
