Houston Golf Association
Since 1946 the Houston Golf Association (HGA) has been bringing professional golf to the region. In 2003 HGA relocated south of Humble within the Redstone Golf Club complex and is located one mile east of Highway 59, just off Beltway 8. Best known as the promoter of the Shell Houston Open PGA Tour event, which will be played the week of March 29-April 4, 2010 at Redstone Golf Club, HGA is dedicated to generating money for charity through the promotion of golf. HGA is recognized as a not-for-profit, tax exempt 501(c) (3) organization.HGA volunteers have generated more than $45 million for local youth-oriented charities since 1974. The Clubs of Kingwood
The Clubs of Kingwood is hailed as one of the “World’s Largest Private Country Clubs.” Offering 90 holes of championship golf at two distinct locations, Kingwood Country Club and the Deerwood Golf Club. Humble Oil Patch Golf Center
Take time to enjoy yourself at the best par 3 and practice facility in the Humble area. Phillip McClellan, Director of Golf, and his family welcome you to relax, be in the fresh air, and enjoy the game of a lifetime. The lighted driving range suits the needs of every golfer. There is a large grass tee box area, as well as covered grass mats. The par 3, nine-hole course is perfect for golfers of every level. It’s a great way to improve your short game and putting skills. Senor citizens, ladies and juniors enjoy the course. Weekday specials enable them to play at reduced rates. Golf lessons are available at various times with certified instructor Carl Cooper. Oakhurst Golf Club
Oakhurst is 18 holes and 7,002 championship yards meander among the towering pines and hardwoods native to the area. Designed by Dave Marr and Jay Riviere, the course presents a formidable but not overwhelming challenge. The course offers a balance of straight-aways and doglegs with each offering wide fairways and challenging approaches. Redstone Golf Club
Just 15 miles North of Downtown Houston sits a wooded oasis – Redstone Golf Club, the proud home of Houston’s only PGA Tour stop, the Shell Houston Open. Course amenities include a member only 18-hole, 7,508 championship yard golf course designed by golf architects Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy.
