Humble ISD
Humble ISD serves the communities of Atascocita, Fall Creek, Humble, Kingwood, Summerwood and more. A fast-growing district, Humble ISD educates 34,000 students.
Humble ISD operated five high schools in 2008-2009: Atascocita High, Humble High, Kingwood High, Kingwood Park High and Quest High. The district also operated seven middle schools and 24 elementary schools. A sixth high school, Summer Creek High School, is scheduled to open for 2009-2010. Humble ISD will be opening its 25th elementary school in 2009-2010.
Humble ISD’s average SAT and ACT scores exceed state and national averages and are among the highest in the Greater Houston Area. Spring ISD
The Spring Independent School District serves over 34,000 pre-kindergarten through twelfth-grade students in a diverse and growing district located 20 miles north of downtown Houston
in an urban area of Harris County that spans 57 square miles.
The district has three comprehensive high schools classified as 5A and a high-school career academy where students may take courses that are aligned with their career interest. In addition, the district has six sixth- through eighth-grade middle schools, one pre-kindergarten through second-grade primary school, one third- through fifth-grade intermediate school, and 20 pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade elementary schools. Four new elementary schools are scheduled to open in the future - three in August 2009 and one in August 2010. In addition, students are able to take classes with the Spring ISD Virtual School, which started in August 2008. The online school offers core-subject and elective courses taught by certified Spring ISD teachers in a monitored online learning environment. Plans are underway to open the district’s first middle school of choice in August 2009. The school will feature non-traditional curriculum that focuses on math, science and the fine arts.

Lone Star College-Kingwood
The Lone Star College-Kingwood, a member of the Lone Star College System, is located on a beautiful 264-acre wooded site at 20000 Kingwood Drive. The two-year public college offers university transfer courses, career and vocational programs, and distance learning, as well as an extensive Continuing Education program for youth and adults. Founded in 1984, Kingwood College has served the educational needs of our community for 24 years.
The East Montgomery County Improvement District satellite campus, located at 21575 Highway 59 in New Caney, makes a college education even more accessible for our neighbors in New Caney and Splendora. The satellite campus offers credit and Continuing Education classes days, evenings and weekends. It is home to the Academy for Lifelong Learning, a program of non-credit classes for those 55+.
The college offers outreach on two area high school campuses to provide easier access for students. Credit classes are offered in the evenings on weeknights at Cleveland High School and Atascocita High School.
From its initial enrollment of 1,168 students in 1984, Lone Star College-Kingwood has increased in enrollment each year. Currently, approximately 8,000 students attend credit classes on the campus each semester.
