Monthly Meetings: 1st Tuesday at 11:00 am
• Host “Cowboy Breakfast” & Renegade Roundup to kick-off the Humble Livestock Show & Rodeo, and raise funds for student scholarships and teacher grants.
• Conduct a book drive in April. Books given to schools based on need. Each member of the committee will individually collect books and deliver to schools.
• Select Scholarship Committee from members of Education Committee to read scholarship applications and select winners.
• Students who win a Scholarship will be invited to attend the June Third Tuesday luncheon, they will be introduced and presented a certificate of recognition.
• Education Committee representative(s) serve on Board and selection committee for Humble ISD Education Foundation Grants.
• Prepare/present “welcome” packets for Humble ISD, Spring ISD new teachers, Kingwood College and private schools that are chamber members, giving businesses an opportunity to market to new community members.
• Host a luncheon in October honoring the “Teacher of the Year” from Humble ISD, Spring ISD, accredited private schools who are Chamber members and Lone Star College-Kingwood “Teachers of Excellence”.
• Participate in the Humble ISD “Teacher of the Year” selection process by having a committee member serve on the selection committee.
• Continue to extend the Education Committee functions to include private and other accredited schools, who are Chamber
 members.
