The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce's Annual Chairman's Ball will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, January 22 at the Houston Airport Marriott.
     The event is themed "Celebrating the Past, Embracing the Future" and will honor 2009 Chamber Board Chair Jason Medley of O'Donnell, Ferebee, Medley & Keiser, PC for his work and accomplishments during his term of leadership, as well as other chamber members who were instrumental in the growth and success the chamber experienced in the past year. Chamber members, dignitaries and their guests can expect to enjoy a rewarding evening full of entertainment, dinner, dancing and fun including a silent and live auction to raise funds to help fuel the work of Chamber in the coming year.
     One of the highlights of the Chairman's Ball is the "passing of the gavel" from 2009 Chair of the Board Jason Medley to the 2010 Chairman Leon Brashier of Mortgage Express.

     The Annual Chairman's Ball will also feature the highly anticipated announcement of the H.E. McKay, M.D. Citizen of the Year award winner. The recipient of this award will enter the prestigious ranks of previous winners who have selflessly given of themselves for the betterment of the community. 
     One lucky dedicated Chamber member will also win $1,000 cash from the Chamber Ambassador's "IT" Program. Anyone that has attended a chamber networking event in 2009 has the opportunity for their business card to be drawn and walk away with $1,000.
