March Chamber Luncheon to Feature ABC-13's Investigative Journalist Art Rascon Speaking About Recent Trip to Haiti - Investigative Journalist Art Rascon will be reporting about his recent trip to Haiti at the March Third Tuesday Luncheon. The luncheon will be held at 11:30 am, on Tuesday, March 16 at the Sheraton North Houston. Plans for the 19th Annual Chamber Golf Classic and Party on the Green Now Underway - The Annual Golf Classic, presented by Kingwood Medical Center, is the Lake Houston Area Chamber’s largest and most popular fundraiser of the year. The tournament will be held on Thursday, May 6 on the Forest and Island courses at Kingwood Country Club. The Annual Party on the Green will precede the tournament on Saturday, May 1 at Kingwood Country Club. Read More

Chamber Begins Search For New President - The Lake Houston Area Chamber recently began their search for a new president to take the place of Mike Byers who recently announced he’ll retire at the end of 2010. Byers announced his plans to retire at the August Board of Directors meeting. The board recently approved a Search Committee which will conduct a national search and will be lead by 2009 Chamber Chairman Jason Medley, a law partner with O'Donnell, Ferebee, Medley & Keiser, PC.   Farmer's Market Held Each Wednesday In Downtown Humble - The Humble Area Chamber’s Beautification Committee hosts a Farmer’s Market from 3 pm until 7 pm each Wednesday at the First Methodist Church parking lot located on Main Street in Downtown Humble.
